Family-Placed Obituary


BENNETT, Peace M. Tingley 84, of Jeffersonville, Ohio died Monday, September 19, 2005 in Community Hospital. She was born in Elliott County, Kentucky on April 23, 1921, the daughter of John and Sally (Ison) Sloas. Mrs. Bennett attended the Clifton Ave. Church of God and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Tony and Cecil Sloas; and three sisters, Hazel Hale, Myrtle Newkirk, and Ruth Howard. Mrs. Bennett is survived by her husband, Roger Bennett of Jeffersonville; one son, John L. (Jennifer) Tingley of Springfield; two sisters, Darlene Newkirk of Wheelersburg, Ohio and Gloria Vanhoose of Battle Creek, Michigan; two grandsons, John E. Tingley and Jason M. (Amy) Tingley; two great-grandsons, Justin and Jacob Tingley. Services will be Thursday, September 22, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Friends and family may call one hour prior to services. Burial to follow in Sommerford Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to www.richardsraffanddunbar.com
