Family-Placed Obituary


PHOEBE EVALINE (BANDY) CLARK 102, passed away peacefully July 25, 2004 in Day Spring of Miami Valley Health Care Center and Rehabilitation. They were devoted and took excellent care of her for the past three years. She had two devoted ladies who were with her the three years and they took special care of her, Annie Driscoll, CNA and Shirley Peters, LPN. Ted and Patty Neer were ever so faithful to Phoebe's needs during this time. She was born December 29, 1901 in Pike County, Ohio the daughter of Grant and Margaret (Denny) Bandy. Mrs. Clark lived in Clark and Champaign counties for all but the two years she lived at Indian Lake, Ohio. She was the last survivor of her immediate family. Mrs. Clark was a member of the Clifton Avenue Church of God where she was a Sunday School Teacher for several years and loved Church activities such as Camp meetings. She was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt in her earlier years. She worked at Gohl's Market (Shoemaker's) in South Charleston several years ago. Mrs. Clark was married February 5, 1934 to Melvin Clark who is deceased along with her son Melvin B. Clark, two brothers, three sisters, three half brothers, a half sister, two step daughters, grandson, Mark Clark, step grandson, Paul Moore and numerous nieces and nephews. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Jean Clark of California; grandson, Michael Clark; two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Jami Clark of Springfield; step grandson, Ronnie Moore of California; several nieces and nephews. She had many devoted and dear friends such as Nick and Hazel Linster (who looked after her), Gilbert and Doris Hufford, Don and Jean Grinder and many more. Visitation is from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. The funeral service is at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the memorial home with Pastor Sam Wollum officiating. Burial will follow in Kingscreek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clifton Avenue Church of God, 1408 Clifton Avenue, Springfield, Ohio 45505 or your favorite charity.
