SMITH, Rebecca J. "Becky" 50, of New Carlisle went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 12, 2016. She was born on November 7, 1965 in Springfield, the daughter of Warder A. and Mary V. (Pyles) Smith. Becky earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1994 from Wright State University. Her passion was loving and serving others. Becky was a lifelong member of First Christian Church. Survivors include her beloved husband of 20 years, Robert "Bob" Smith; two daughters, Adelyn and Allex Smith both at home; one step-daughter, Lauren Smith; one step-son, Andrew Smith; her mother; four sisters, Janice (David) Augustus, Kathy (Andrew) Heims, Gloria (Bob) Brown and Amy (Dane) Kugler all of Springfield; four brothers, Donald, Richard (Judi), Dan (Stacey) Smith all of Springfield and Dana (Billie) Smith of Shelbyville, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Shirley Smith of Springfield and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends and co-workers. She was preceded in death by her father; two brothers, Galen and David Smith; sister-in-law, Debby Smith; nephew, Justin Smith and father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Joyce Smith. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 4-8 pm in the First Christian Church, 3638 Middle Urbana Rd., Springfield. A celebration of Becky's life will be held on Wednesday at 11 am in the church with Joel Augustus and Brian Borton officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Springfield Regional Cancer Center, 148 W. North St., Springfield, OH 45504. Burial will follow in the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
