Roger MINK Obituary
News Death Notice
MINK, Roger went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday April 16, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Harland County Kentucky in 1944, the son of Ray and Elsie Mink. He served in the US Navy from 1961 to 1967, during Vietnam. He was a supervisor, mainly 2nd shift, at IH (Navistar) for 25 years. After retiring, he worked for Fairborn City Schools until his health failed. He was a great husband to his wife Linda (Dunlap) Mink of 45 years, and loved his 2 daughters Shelly (Daniel) Newbauer, of Hillard Ohio, Gianna (Rich) Acquafredda of Florida, l grandson Richie also of Florida. He is survived by 2 sisters, l brother, and special and very close cousins Dennis and Carol Mink of Fairborn. Roger embraced and enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be sadly missed and forever loved by his family and friends, especially his dog" Lil" Paint. A special Thanks to Springfield Oncology Dept and Hospice. A memorial service, with full military honors, will he held at 1:00pm on Saturday April 26, 2014 in New Covenant Baptist Church, 455 E. Main St, Enon with Pastor Ronald Lee officiating. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services. Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
