News Death Notice

BOGGS, Sandra K. "Sandy" 67, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Monday, October 11, 2010 in Mercy Memorial Hospital, Urbana. She was born December 3, 1942 in Urbana, Ohio the daughter of the late James and Elouise (Lippencott) Dunlap. Sandy was a 1960 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School. She retired after 35 ½ years of service from Ranco in Plain City. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy of Mechanicsburg. Sandy enjoyed traveling to Florida every year in the winters and collecting coins. She loved spending time with friends and family, especially, her grandchildren. Sandy will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, David E. Boggs of Mechanicsburg; her daughters, Amy S. (Rickard) Boerger of Marysville, Ohio, Jodi L. (Rickard) (Nick) Minor of Urbana, Carol A. (Tony) Mennett of Dayton, Laura M. (Randy) Wallace of Hilliard and Jodi L. (Terry) Fitch of Springfield; her grandchildren, Halie, Cody, Jacob, Corey, Marc, LeeAnna, Logan, Nathaniel, Rachel, Chelsea, Hope, Emily, Allison, numerous great grandchildren; her brothers, James R. (Marilyn) Dunlap of Mechanicsburg and Thomas J. (Sandee) Dunlap of Urbana, her brother-in-law, Robert A. (Stella) Boggs of Springfield; several nieces and nephews and a host of wonderful friends, including, Sandy Coolbaugh of Mechanicsburg. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2010 in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, Ohio. Memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastors, Rev. Richard Aites and Rev. Dr. Harley Roston officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Maple Grove Cemetery.
