SAMPLE, Stephen A. 57, of Springfield, OH died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Springfield, OH on October 21, 1950 the son of Thomas A. and Leona M. (Foster) Sample. He retired in 2001 from Navistar after thirty years of service. He was a member of St. Raphael Church and UAW Local 402. Survivors in addition to his mother of Springfield include two daughters Tiffany (Jamie) Payne and Stephany Ratliff both of Springfield; two sisters Marian White, New Carlisle, OH and Kathy (Douglas) Runyan, Springfield; six brothers Thomas Sample, Springfield, John Sample, California, Jim (Casey) Sample, Half Moon Bay, CA, Tim (Nancy) Sample, Columbus, OH, Chris Sample and Dan Sample, Springfield; six grandchildren, Brandon, Raven, Andi, Jayvin, Joshua and Jeffrey; numerous aunts, nieces and nephews. A Memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Raphael Church. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the mass at church. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
