News Death Notice
SHAW, Stephen J. "Steve" 60, of Springfield, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born May 2, 1955 in Springfield, the son of William and Joan (Yontz) Shaw. Steve served in the United States Navy and retired from the Teamsters. He enjoyed fishing, playing sports and music was his passion. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Cindy (Roby) Shaw; two daughters, Amy (Ted) Sothard and Kristy (Wade) Dixon; four grandsons, Kaleb, Braydon, Skylar and Parker; four brothers, Bob Shaw, Mike Shaw, Billy (Chrissy) Shaw, Dave Shaw; and three sisters, Debbie (Harold) Flemming, Carolyn Shaw and Lisa Shaw. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews including Chris Hoffer, whom he treated like a son. He was preceded in death by his father, William Shaw. A celebration of Steve's life will be held on Saturday, March 5 at 4:00 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Dad, I cant believe your wings were ready:( My heart was not I don't know what to do now that you have left your FAMILY and FRIENDS, but I'm sure I will make it just like everything else:( Hour by Hour seems like forever when this life was going by so fast, til I see you again on the brighter side! "Tuesdays Gone With The Wind" Tell Grandpa Shaw Happy Birthday for me!! WHY? Cant believe you left me! And I'm sorry for breaking your heart as a teenager but for that is why I changed my life around and where I am today, I Love You:)

I am so very sorry for your loss.
I know its been a long time since I have spoke with anyone in the family. But I have always felt like all of you were my first family. And with that said have always held the shaw family close to my heart.
I pray that God will hold all o f you close and help you find peace.

It's sad to know you were taken too soon so many memories with you going with you every weekend and any chance I got. Sitting around the fire listening to you play the guitar and sing.
