1939 - 2017

COTTERMAN, Thomas A. Went home to be with the Lord on March 31, 2017, at the age of 77 in Springfield, OH. He was born December 16, 1939 in Phoneton, OH, the son of the late Nelson and Mary Ellen Cotterman. Tom is survived by his 4 children; Tammy (Steve) Cotterman-Wise , Larry (Kelly) Cotterman, Terri (Robert) Cotterman-Myer and Thomas E. (Joanna) Cotterman; sisters Joyce McGuire, Norma McCulla; grandchildren Thomas (Ashley), Jonathan, Lauren (Zach), Holly (James), Lindzy (Dylan), Cody (Shelbi), Levi, Kristen; great-grandchildren Aubree, Karlei, Layla, Ellie; other family members Chuck, Debbie, Mark Pierce and their children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother Phil Cotterman. Tom served in the US Army, retired from Delco Moraine, enjoyed farming, hunting, woodworking and horses. He was a member of the New Carlisle Masonic Lodge #100. He was an active member of Redemption Christian Tabernacle in Tipp City and loved serving the Lord. Our family would like to thank the Oakwood Village staff who provided amazing care for him. They became part of his loving family; we call them angels. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Missions Committee at Oakwood Village, Springfield, OH. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 PM in Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle. A funeral service to honor Tom will be Tuesday at 10:00 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Todd Hoskins officiating. Burial will follow in New Carlisle Cemetery.
