News Death Notice

ZETTLER, Thomas Michael "Tommy" 54, took his final breath at his home in Holly Springs, MS on Saturday, December 20, 2014. Born the son of Thomas J. and Marlene A. (Blauvelt) Zettler on June 16, 1960 in Springfield, Ohio, he graduated from Catholic Central High School and attended St. Louis Univ. and Clark State Community College. He was a computer draftsman at Thermal Economy, Inc. in Olive Branch, MS. Tommy saw the potential in everyone and everything. Family was the focus of his life, and he was happiest when spending time with his children, grandchildren, siblings and parents. When he wasn't with family, he could be found at his acreage on Chewalla Lake in Holly Springs fishing, tending to his garden and pets and creating artistic masterpieces out of nature. Tommy is survived by four children and three grandchildren: Heather (Dustin) Sims and daughters Hayzen and Harmony of Alabama, Amber (Dalton) Gilreath of Florida, Zane (Hannah) Zettler of North Carolina, and Kayla Zettler and daughter Kapri of Alabama; parents: Marlene Zettler and Thomas (Rose) Zettler of Ohio; and four siblings: Teri (Vince) Pacetti and Sue (Jeff) Lyons of Ohio, Mark (Lynn) Zettler of Indiana, and Rick (Michelle) Zettler of Iowa. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Francis & Marie (Weiner) Zettler, and Karl & Hattie Estylene (Rafferty) Blauvelt. Funeral services were held on December 29, 2014 at Grace Fellowship Presbyterian Church in Albertville, AL, and he is laid to rest at Hillcrest Cemetery in Boaz, AL. A memorial Mass for family and friends will be held on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 801 Kenton St., Springfield, OH. Tommy's family members will greet visitors starting at 10 a.m.
