News Death Notice
MAUK, Veronica S. "Ronnie" 65, of Springfield passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012 in Heartland of Springfield. She was born November 11, 1946 in Springfield, Ohio the daughter of Mitchell and Mary (Dixon) Goble. Ronnie was a graduate of Northeastern High School. She was a LPN at Mercy St. John's Center in Springfield for 30 years. Ronnie enjoyed reading and she loved all animals. She is survived by her son, Troy Fitzpatrick of Springfield; her sister-in-law, Ruth Droll of Springfield; as well as a special friend, Samual Massie of Springfield. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert Lee Mauk. Due to Ronnie's caring nature, she donated her body to the Wright State University School of Medicine Anatomical Gift Program. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2012 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana with Chaplain Steve Fox officiating. I am sorry about your mom, Troy. Ronnie was a nice person. We had lost contact over the years, but when I did see her we always had things to say to each other. We loved talking about the good old days.

Ronnie you will be sadly missed by all that knew you. We enjoyed your company over years. We had some great times shopping and eating out.We know you loved the lord and he took your home to be with him cause he take the best to be with him. We love you very much.

I remember working with Ronnie at St.Johns in the early 90's.She was a good nurse with emphasis on the patient being well cared for.Sorry for your loss she was very kind,considerate,and a wonderful nurse to work for and with.She had a very pleasant personality and was good to her aides.May you all be blessed and that your hearts be comforted in this difficult time.RIP Ronnie.
