Family-Placed Obituary
GREGORY, Willie E. 83, of Springfield, departed this life Sunday, May 29, 2005 in Mercy Medical Center. She was born June, 2 1921 in Welchville, West Virginia, a daughter of Edward and Mattie Edmunds. Mrs. Gregory was a faithful member of the Trinity A.M.E. Church and was employed by Elderly United of Springfield and Clark County. Mrs. Gregory loved her family and was always reaching out to help others. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, William C. Gregory, Jr., of San Antonio, Texas, Vickie (Tommy) Howard, of Cleveland, Ohio, Peggy Gregory, Pamela Samson and Sharon Gregory, all of Springfield, Ohio; a brother, Thomas (Ida Mae) Edmunds, of Baltimore, Maryland; nine grandchildren, Melinda, Jason (Cathy), Steven, LaTia, Ebony, Tommy, Larry, Vincent and Natasha; six great grandchildren, Keionna, Bryant, Jason, Jr., De'Shaun, TayQuan and Darrin and a number of other relatives and friends. She was -preceded in death by her husband, William Gregory; two brothers and two sisters. Visitation for Mrs. Gregory will be Wednesday from 5 to 9 pm in the Trinity AME Church. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Thursday in the Church with Pastor Dwight Smith officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the ROBERT C. HENRY FUNERAL HOME.

Willie lived across the street from me on Euclid. We had many conversations and testimonies chatting outside our homes. She was a wonderful person and a Christian in all her ways. She earned her angel wings.

I shall always remember Willie as a fine neighbor.I don't believe we ever had a conversation where the goodness of the Lord was not mentioned. My deepest and sincere sympathy to the whole family. Elaine and I have often wondered where all of you were.
