Anthony Paul Belmont Sr.

ANTHONY PAUL BELMONT SR. - A lifelong resident of Greenwich passed away on April 10, 2007 at the age of 77. He was born in Cos Cob on February 8, 1930 to the late Ernest and Anna (Volpe) Belmont. Anthony was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved gardening and birds, especially Hummingbirds. He worked at Belmont Feed Company for many years, and he was retired from the Grounds Division in the Town of Greenwich. Anthony is survived by his wife Dolores (Wisne) Belmont of Greenwich, two sons, Anthony Belmont Jr. of Stamford, and Wayne Belmont of Cos Cob. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kimberly Belmont, Alexandra Belmont, Jacob Tony Belmont, and Evan Belmont. Two sisters also survive him, Lena Obuchowski of Stamford, and Carmella Misuriello of Riverside. He was predeceased by a son Paul Belmont, his brothers, Albert, Renaldo, Richard, Sabatino, Orlando, Rudy, and James Belmont, and three sisters Josephine Carbino, Mary Capalbo, and Jenny Cossuto. Friends may call on Friday April 13, 2007 from 4 to 8 PM at the Castiglione Funeral Home 134 Hamilton Ave. Greenwich, CT 06830. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday April 14, 2007 at 10 AM at St. Catherine of Siena R.C. Church in Riverside. Interment to follow in St. Mary Cemetery Greenwich.
