Bruce F. O'Connell
1941 – 2025
It is with great sadness that the family of Bruce F. O'Connell announces his passing on October 2, 2025, at the age of 84. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by family.
Bruce honorably served in the United States Air Force for six years before beginning a long career in the insurance industry. He was active in his community, coaching Little League-where several of his nephews played for him-and refereeing basketball at Scalzi Park in Stamford. He enjoyed golf, friendly competition, and good company, always bringing humor and style to every gathering.
A lifelong resident of Stamford, Connecticut, Bruce later moved to several nearby towns, continuing to form lasting friendships. In 2025, he relocated to Arizona to be near his daughters and spend cherished time with his great-grandchildren.
Bruce is survived by his children Annmarie (Walter), Kimberly, and Sean; his grandchildren Christopher, Chandler, Madison, Isabelle, Ariana, and Gavin; and five great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held in Arizona. Bruce will be remembered for his humor, kindness, and love for family and friends.
