Connie DeVito Obituary

Connie DeBlasi DeVito
Connie DeBlasi DeVito, age 98, of Trumbull and formerly of Stamford, beloved wife of the late Dominick DeVito, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 23, 2024 with her loving family by her side. Born in Stamford on October 24, 1925 she was a daughter of the late Salvatore and Rose Troncone DeBlasi. Connie was a woman of great faith, attending weekly Mass and in later years devoted time watching Mass on TV. She felt a special connection to St. Theresa. She also enjoyed crafting, knitting, crocheting and loved shopping for her extensive porcelain doll collection. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Connie treasured time spent with her family and was at her best when her grandchildren were by her side. The unconditional love she gave will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She was cherished by her two loving daughters, Mary Ann Choquette (Jim) and Donna Held (Fred), daughter-in-law, Gina DeVito, grandchildren, Nicholas (Sarah), Gene (Nicole), Gina Marie, and Scott (Peggy), and three great grandchildren. She recently attended the baptism of her great-grandson Jordan in August. She is also survived by her sisters, Corinne Lionetti and Carmela Brello, a sister-in-law, Marge DeBlasi, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Nicholas D. DeVito.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. directly at St. Gabriel Church, 948 Newfield Ave., Stamford. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, 25 Camp Ave., Darien. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Dear Donna, Fred, Maryann and DeVito family: I am so very sorry about the loss of your beautiful mom. My family has such fond memories of Mrs. DeVito from growing up on Square Acre Drive. I remember your mom helping my mom and Marylou make Chinese food for their progressive dinner! Hope you find some comfort in knowing how much love, happiness and pride you brought into her life. She raised a loving, caring, wonderful family. I know Nick and your dad greeted her at the gates of heaven with loving arms. Sending love, hugs and prayers to all of you. I will always be here for you and your beautiful family. Love always, Linda Lombardo
