Edward Sepanski Sprigg

EDWARD SEPANSKI SPRIGG 63, of Seneca, SC died suddenly Oct. 25, 2011. Born, May 24, 1948 in Stamford, CT, he was the son of the late Mary & Henry Sepanski. Ed graduated from Stamford HS in 1966 and attended Curry College. He was a well known musician playing drums, keyboard, guitar & vocals. This love of music led him to his career as a Recording Engineer. He was with A&R Recording Studio in NYC and Chief Sound Engineer at The Hit Factory in NYC. During his career he recorded many notable Rock/Jazz musicians and received many Gold and Platinum Records for his outstanding work. He worked very closely with John Lennon and Yoko Ono on their albums. He is survived by his loving partner, Rachel Tibbs of Seneca, SC;a son, Ted Sprigg of Houston, TX; a daughter, Evelyn Sprigg of NYC; two sisters, Laurie Walsh of Lake Elmore, VT and Susan Wagner of Madison, CT; two nieces a nephew and two grandchildren. A song lyric that had meaning to Ed was, "And in the end, The love we take, Is equal to the love we make". The family will have a celebration of Ed's life on April 28 in West Haven.
