ESSIE BYRD Obituary

0001455554-01-1.jpg ESSIE MAE BYRD of Stamford entered into eternal rest, on Tuesday, December 15th, 2009. She was 70. Essie was born January 30, 1939 in Benham KY, to the late William and Goldie Byrd. Graduated Kentucky State College and was employed with G.T.E. for over 21 years before retiring She leaves to cherish her memories a brother Thomas Byrd of Knoxville TN., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by two brothers Curtis and William Byrd. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 11a.m. with Bishop Allan B. Graves of Shekinah Glory Ministries officiating. Burial will be private. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Downer Funeral Home 31 Stillwater Avenue Stamford, CT 06902.

Essie Mae and I worked together at GTE. I spoke with her several months ago. I remember giving her all my sample perfumes and she gave me her Banker boxes for storage. My deepest sympathy to her family. God Bless you Essie Mae!
