Fosca Picozza Obituary

Picozza, Fosca
Fosca (Macari) Picozza, 91, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2013 in Framingham, MA. She was married for 60 years to Amleto Picozza who passed away in 2006. She was a 50-year resident of Stamford, CT and most recently a seven-year resident of Hopkinton, MA Fosca was born in Settefrati, Italy, and immigrated to the U.S. with her husband and children. They came to live in Stamford where they opened and ran a tailor shop for many years. Fosca's main focus was always her children and extended family. She loved to cook and the holidays were always special. Her fondest memory was meeting Padre Pio when she was a young wife and mother. Padre Pio gave her a blessing she felt was with her throughout her life. Fosca is survived by three children and their spouses, Josephine and Walter Zupancich of New York, Augusto and Wendy Picozza, of Florida and Enrico and Linda Picozza of Hopkinton MA. She also leaves seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 9:45 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 20 Church Street, Hopkinton, MA. Burial will take place at 1:30 p.m. in St. John's Cemetery, Darien, CT. Funeral arrangement have been entrusted to the Callanan Cronin Funeral Home, 34 Church Street, Hopkinton, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
