Frank was born Francesco Antonio Maduri. He was a young man of 17 when he was called to defend his country during WWII. He served 3 plus years in the Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign among the Phillipine Islands. During that time he was responsible for the loading of bombs onto trucks that would later be transferred to aircraft. He was awarded several ribbons, The Bronze Star and Victory Medal.
Following the war he married his sweetheart, Madeline and lived in Cos Cob for all of their 68 years. Theirs was a love story for the ages. Frank was the most talented and hardworking man who was employed by The Electrolux for over 42 years. In addition, during that time, he used his talents, charisma and charm in his love for gardening, carpentry, fishing, music and singing. He spent long hours listening to his Brother-In-Law Dom play the mandolin and he particularly loved listening to Italian folk music. He did everything with passion and a great sense of humor. He will be sorely missed.

Many owe their freedom to these brave men of our " Greatest Generation." They went off to war at such a young age to serve their country in time of war. Thank you for serving our country.
A grateful American
