George McClintock Obituary
George McClintock, 77, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2014. He was born on October 7, 1936 in Spartanburg, South Carolina son of the late John and Katherine McClintock. George served honorably in the United States Army. He was employed with the US Postal Service for thirty three years until retirement. He was married to Margaret McClintock of Stamford, CT. In addition to his loving wife Margaret McClintock, his memory will be cherished by two daughters; Cynthia Goings (Kenneth) and Debbie McClintock, one son; Kevin Lee McClintock, two sisters; Alberta Huston (David) and Elizabeth Watson, two brothers; Robert Lee McClintock (Ruth) and Andrew McClintock, twelve grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM followed by a service of celebration at 11:00 AM at Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 29 Grove St., Stamford, CT. with Rev. Dr. Tommie Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien, CT. Services entrusted to Downer Funeral Home.

My best friends dad has passed away. It has hurt me so, growing up, he was like my second father. He was so very kind, sweet, and loving. This family is like my own, Debbie and I were inseparable, and we always had George McClintock in our corner. He was unconditional love, had unwavering support, had the most unabashed sincerity, an unpretentious soul...unquestionably, he was just an awesome man. He will be forever missed.
