WEENER - Lucille Janis, on Nov. 7, 2025, age 92, at home in McLean VA. Born Aug. 7, 1933, in New York, NY, she was a longtime resident of Stamford, CT, before moving to McLean in 1980. Beloved mother of Pamela Janis of Washington, DC, Caroline Rimmer (Malcolm) of Orgeval, France, Michele Janis (Mark Bottinick) of Silver Spring, MD and Gordon Janis (Valerie) of McLean; cherished grandmother to Gregory Rimmer, Shoshana and Sydney Levenson, and Elissa Janis; devoted sister to Harriet Feltheimer of Lawrence, NY, and Bernice Bernstein of Bethesda, MD. Predeceased by husbands, Howard Janis (1976) and Sumner Weener (2011), and brother, Herbert Goldfeder. Funeral Tues., Nov 11, at 1:00 pm at Judean Memorial Gardens Chapel, 16225 Batchellors Forest Rd., Olney MD. Memorial contributions may be made to HIAS, in support of refugees and asylum seekers worldwide. Donate online at www.hias.org .
