Luigi Sebastian Furnari
Luigi Sebastian Furnari, 92, a resident of Stamford, CT, passed away on August 5, 2021. Luigi was born in 1929 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Sebastiano Furnari and Marie Antonina LaRosa. He was a graduate of Bloomfield College with a degree in Business Administration and was President of the Student Body. While in college, Luigi played baseball, basketball, was a champion ping-pong player, and an avid bowler.
Upon graduation, Luigi joined General Electric Company where he enjoyed an accomplished 45-year career as Treasurer.
Luigi was married to Theresa for 67 years and is survived by three children, Louis, Robert, Susan, daughter-in-law Lina, and five grandchildren, Michael, Michele, Alexa, Zackary, and Cayla. He and his wife traveled extensively throughout the world. When not traveling, Luigi enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and creating fond memories with his grandchildren.
Luigi was very active in his community and spent many years as President and Treasurer of The Hubbard Heights Association.
Luigi lived a long and remarkable life. He was an inspiration to those whose lives were touched by generosity and kindness. He will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held at Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Ave, on Sunday August 8, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford, CT. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, 124 Rock Rimmon Road, Stamford, CT.

Sue, I´m sorry to hear that your family is going through the death of your father. Him and your mother must have been wonderful parents because they raise three very very dedicated kids.
