So sorry to hear of Mario's passing. Mario was married to my mother Ida's first cousin. He always considered me a nephew even though I was actually his first cousin once removed in law. During the 50s I remember him dropping in in Pawcatuck to visit my grandmother with his trailer truck idling out front. I'm sure he will be missed.

Big bad John

My Dad is my hero and will be until he comes for me and forever. He was a great family man. Always made time for us. Worked two jobs so we wanted for nothing. He was a Teamster steward at that time, his guys never had anything but good to say about him. When I was a child I walked picket lines w him and fell in love w the union and his men. When I was 15 he was voted in as a Business Agent (and I campaigned w him), then President and then Secretary Treasurer. He worked tirelessly for his Brother Teamsters. I am proud of the way he negotiated contracts w all sides in mind. Proud of the biggest contract he negotiated, UPS, it changed so much for the works forces. My dear Brothers and Sisters. I remember so many of you and I thank you for always believing in my Dad and for all the kind words.
love,
Linda

Sympathy to Mario´s family I worked at UPS and knew Mario as Business Agent and officer in Local 191. He was well respected and hard working for his Brother Teamsters. Behind that big cigar and gruff exterior was a heart of gold. May he rest in peace Bob Legnard
