Michael Camiglio Obituary
In addition to his wife and children he is survived by his sister Christina (Camiglio) Richards and her children Anthony and Raina Richards. He will especially be remembered by Anthony and Raina for the special bond they shared. He was their uncle, their mentor, and their best friend. He is also survived by his brother, Jay R. Ritter and fiancee Krista Griffiths of Norwalk, CT and his grandmother, Helen Buchetto, of Stamford, CT. He is survived by his in-laws, Nancy Palmer and Bobby Keeley, their children Aidan and Bridie, Pam Elsasser and children, Kym and Cheyenna. He is survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved his sense of humor, charm, respect and his willingness to always go the extra mile to help someone. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Rocco Buchetto, Patsy and Gloria Camiglio and his great grandparents, Frank Greco, Sr. and Carolina Greco.
A service will be conducted on Friday, June 15, 2007 at a time to be announced at the Grace Free Evangelical Church, 341 Courtland Avenue, Stamford, CT. Interment will follow in Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Oaklawn Avenue, Stamford, CT. Friends may call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT on Thursday, June 14, 2007 from 4-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to: Michael C. Camiglio Memorial Fund in care of Michael Camiglio, Jr., Rachel Camiglio, 28 Whitewood Drive, Shelton, CT 06484.

Michael we miss you so much. Everyday gets a little easier and a little harder. The reality that you really are gone is sinking in and it breaks my heart that I will never see you again. Never hold your hand, see your smile, watch you with Mikey and Rachel, hear you screaming in the garage when things aren't going the way you want them too (which they never did), hearing tools being thrown. I ask why you had to leave us so soon. There is no answer. Your are my husband, my best friend, the father of my children and we have beautiful children. Thank you for them they are what is keeping me going. The outstanding support from everyone has been amazing. Although we've never met, I got to know Mike when I worked at the credit union in Stamford. Mike was one of the nicest people I've ever met. His love of you and your children was obvious whenever he spoke of you. I pray God will give you the strength you will need do deal with this terrible tragedy.

I remember Mike's first day at the phone company. It seems like yesterday. When the day was over, Jay met him in the parking lot and hugged him that afternoon. That showed me alot about Jay as his dad.When I was helping Mike with the home study courses to get his current job he worked hard and was very grateful. For some reason I felt the urge to help him as long as he was around because of his unselfish attitude and unmatched kindness. I still feel like I'll see him in the morning. I am so sorry. I cannot imagine the sadness you must feel. Even if Michael is gone his memory will live with all of us and the best favor we can do him is to remember the good times we have had with him. Between the day he almost got invited to our wedding to the day we went to Il Palio and closed the place we have had many great times. His memory will also live on in Michael and Rachel. Each of them have characteristics of Michael that will be with them forever. Whether we see that flicker of a smile from one or a quick and wry sense of humor from another every time we look at the kids we will see a piece of Michael and it will hopefully bring a smile to all of us. I know that when I look at pictures of our kids when they were babies I can't tell who they were but I do recognize a bit of my father in each of them.
Lillian be strong for both yourself and the kids. If we can help in any way you know that all you have to do is ask.
