Michael P. Tiscia
Michael P. Tiscia, 95, of Stamford, CT, passed away peacefully, at home, on October 2, 2025.
Mike was born on August 14, 1930, in Stamford, CT, the son of the late Nazzario Tiscia and Carmela DiCarlo Tiscia. He graduated from Stamford High School in 1948 and proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954. During his service, he was hand selected to the elite unit Honor Guard, where he stood watch at the Tomb of the Unknown Solider at Arlington National Cemetery, He was later stationed in Hokkaido, Japan.
Mike was best known in the Stamford community as the owner and operator of Cipri's /Mike's Pizza on the West Side, a gathering place for family and friends for many years.
He enjoyed spending his spare time honing the neighborhood kids baseball skills at Lione Park. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards with his many buddies, as well as traveling with family and friends.
Mike is survived by his children and their spouses: Michael (Beth) Tiscia, David (Karie) Tiscia, and Lisa (Frank) DeNicola. He was a proud grandfather to Ryan (Meagan) Tiscia, Kevin (Marisa) Tiscia, Matthew Tiscia, Karlie (Ryan) Stone, Travis (Lindsay) DeNicola, Tyler DeNicola, and Camryn (Matthew) Conte. He was also blessed with five great-grandsons, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 59 years, Gloria Cipri Tiscia, as well as his siblings, Vincent, Anthony, Samuel, Peter, Jen Hanrahan, Grace Tiscia, and Gertrude Zoppi. His in-laws the Cipri family.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, October 5, from 1:00-4:00 pm at Lacerenza Macari Family Funeral Home, in Stamford, CT. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 6, at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, Stamford, CT. Burial will be private.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the hospice nurses with RVNA, Right at Home, and especially his private caregivers for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Mike's name.

We had the honor of sitting with Mike at the Settefratese Club on Virgil St when Mikes best friend was there, Michael Dante. They were so happy to be together and Mike told me many stories of them when they were young friends. I loved hearing all the stories.. we all loved Cipris Pizza growing up on Virgil St. Rest In Peace Mike....
