Peter Robotti Obituary

Peter Robotti
Peter Joseph Robotti, a lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully at Stamford Hospital with his loving family at his side. He was born in Stamford on November 23, 1943 and was one of five children born to the late Frank and Virginia (Macarella) Robotti. He was 78 years old at the time of his passing. Peter is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Donna (Carriero) Robotti; his children, Gina Robotti, Deanna Robotti, Frank Robotti and his wife Molly and Cristian Robotti and his wife Michelle. Ten grandchildren, Samantha (Michael), Madison, Cristian, Cailey, Lila, Cassie, Lulu, Pearl, Bea, and Clara; two great-grandchildren, Bennett Peter and Brooks; and three sisters, Marilyn Marzullo, Virginia Orgera and Nancy Cappiellieri. In addition to his parents, Peter was predeceased by his brother, Frank Robotti. Pete graduated from Stamford High School where he played football after attending Stamford Catholic High School, where he met his wife Donna. He went to work for his father in the family meat market where he mastered the butcher trade, specializing in making sausage. He later owned his own wholesale meat market. Peter loved his family and coaching little league. His free time was spent listening to music and spending time with his family and friends of all ages. In his later life he enjoyed painting, watching the Yankees, and listening to more music, which brought him great joy. The Band, Neil Young, Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson to name just a few. He loved his trips to the Jersey shore and his time spent on vacation in Hawaii. His greatest pleasure in life had no comparison though; it was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandkids. He delighted in calling them every day to check in or to text them personal notes. His family came before everything else and you felt that in every decision Pete made. He will be sorely missed, yet he will live on in the impact he had on the lives of all those around him. We love you Pop!

Pete was my coach at baseball and excellent one at that. One game the bases loaded and I had to pitch. I called time and Pete came over and I said I´m too nervous Pete looked at me an said "we don´t ever give up" and that phrase has continued in my life. I don´t give up and had every reason to. Thanks Pete for that good advice. Rip, my man!
