Allie Urschel Obituary

Allie Mae Urschel, 85, was peacefully called home by her Lord to be with Him on February 21, 2005. She was born May 1 4, 1919, in Texas. Her family moved to Upland in the year of 1922. She attended Chaffey High School with her siblings, Violet, Fern, Bill, Leona and John Smith. Following high school, she attended Pasadena College where she met Paul W. Urschel and were married in the Upland Church of the Nazarene, then located on the corner of Third and Ninth Sts. Allie Mae is survived by her two daughters, Betty Moore of Colorado Springs and Leona Urschel of Upland; her two sons-in-law, Lowell Moore and Eric Byrd; her t hree grand-daughters, Leslie Mikesell of Michigan, Heidi Krause of the Upland area, Dawn Smithson of Santa Cruz, CA, and her great-grandson, Alex Krause of the Upland area. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, who was a minister for the Church of the Nazarene in Las Vegas and Carson City, Nevada, Laguna Beach, Colton, Blythe, Hemet, Barstow, Oceanside and San Bernardino, CA. Upon retiring, they moved to Upland in 1986, where they were members of the First Church of the Nazarene. A visita tion for family and friends will be held today, February 23, 2005 from 5 to 8 p.m. and her Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held Thursday, February 24, 2005 at 1 p.m. at the Stone Funeral Home, 355 E. Ninth St., Upland. Stone Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
