Robert Rosic

ROBERT J. ROSIC, A 50 year resident of Darien, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Stamford Hospital. Born on September 18, 1932 in Stamford, he was the son of the late George and Frances Mahala Rosice. He was 79. Robert was a graduate of Stamford High School. He served with the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Korean Conflict. In 1967, he founded and remained active with Town Electric, Inc. in Darien. He was a parishioner of St. Thomas More Church and was one of the founders of the Darien Junior Football League. He is survived by his three children, Debra R. Yamada of Gaithersburg, MD; Robert J. Rosic, Jr. of Easton, CT and Wendy R. Counts of Lynchburg, VA; and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Florence Griffin of Denver, CO. He was predeceased by his wife Beverly Rosic in 2003; a son, Randall J. Rosic in 2002 and 12 brothers and sisters Friends may call at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Friday, April 13, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas More Church, 374 Middlesex Road, Darien on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien.
