Thomas Cody Obituary
Mr. Cody was a fourth generation New Canaan resident. He attended New Canaan Schools and graduated from New Canaan High School in 1963. Tom excelled in sports and was a member of New Canaan's 1963 State Championship Basketball team. He went on to graduate from Marquette University and to attend New York University School of Public Administration. Thomas worked in the family real estate business.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Cyr Cody; three brothers, William Cody and George Cody of New Canaan, and James J. Cody of Gadsden, Alabama; two sisters, Catherine Cody and Terry Cody Spring of New Canaan; thirteen nieces and nephews; and eight great nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Hoyt's Funeral Home, 199 Main Street, New Canaan, Wednesday, October 5, 2005 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at 11:00 a.m.

Dear George,Bill,Judy,Cathy,Terry and Jim, Our family is so saddend by the passing of Tommy,,,he was never Tom to us,always Tommy. Growing up on Church Street,we felt a connection with our Doctor's family but especially with Tommy,George,Billy. The boys were friends with Jim and John but were always friendly to all of us especially to our Mother. Know that we will be remembering all of you as your bury Tommy.
