Kirby, William T.
William Thomas Kirby, 81, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2015. He was born on October 30, 1934 in Ansonville, North Carolina, son of the late Abram and Mary Little Kirby. Mr. Kirby was predeceased by his wife Mary Murphy Kirby and his son Bobby Sturdivant. He was employed with Pitney Bowes Inc. until retirement. His life and legacy will be cherished by one daughter; Donna Kirby Longwa (Lou), five sons; LeVerne Murphy (Diane), William Kirby (Priscilla), Pierre Kirby ( Carmen), Robert Kirby (Jeanette) and Michael Kirby (Robin), two sisters; Mae Pearl McLendon and Olivia Tyson (William), twenty one grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM followed by a service of celebration at 10:00 AM at Bethel AME Church, 150 Fairfield Ave. Stamford, CT. with Rev. Robert Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery. Services entrusted to Downer Funeral Home.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your dad Mr. William Kirby. I will always have fond memories on him while growing up on Merrell Ave. Donna keeping you, Stephanie Norfleet Mckelvie, and I in line when trying to go out to parties at Yerwood Center. Donna the other night on telephone talking we laugh so hard to keep from crying no matter what the situation you always got jokes girl.
