Jan Mira Obituary

Jan W. Mira, of Aristocrat Circle, Sugarloaf Twp., died peacefully Sunday morning in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Staszow, Poland, he was the son of the late Feliks and Janina (Mazur) Mira. Jan was a member of Good Shepherd Church in Drums. Before his retirement, he was employed at Wise Potato Chips in Berwick.

Jan was known for his hardworking nature and love for the outdoors, particularly gardening and flowers.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his brother, Stanislaw Mira.

Jan is survived by his wife, Irena Molitoris; son, Michael Mira, M.D.; sister, Ewa Alley and her husband; sisters-in-law Halina, Maria and Ewa; brother-in-law, Joe; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Good Shepherd Church, 87 S. Hunter Highway, Drums.

Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.

Krapf & Hughes Funeral Home and Crematory, Drums, is assisting the family with arrangements.
