Joan E. Oleyar, 93, passed away Nov. 30 at Mountain City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she had been a resident.
Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Seraphine (Bonomo) Oleyar.
She was a receptionist at Eckley Miners' Village for many years. She was an avid gardener and seamstress.
Preceding her in death, in addition to his parents, were her brother, Michael G. Oleyar Sr.; and sister, Mary Oleyar Defant.
Surviving are her niece, Mollie Oleyar, Hazleton; nephew, Michael Oleyar and wife, Kristen, Drums; great-nephew, Marshall Oleyar; and great-niece, Sofia Oleyar.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
