Lawrence Arendash Obituary

Lawrence P. Arendash, 82, of West Hazleton passed away Saturday at Providence Place, Drums.

He was born in Hazleton, son of the late Andrew and Josephine Wisniewski Arendash.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, with the rank of sergeant, where he served his country proudly.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed for more than 25 years by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board as a Pennsylvania State Liquor Store manager in the area.

Lawrence was a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Parish at St. Joseph's Church, Hazleton. He was also an avid golfer and enjoyed watching all sporting events and planting and working in his vegetable garden.

Surviving are his beloved brother, Thomas Arendash, West Hazleton. Several cousins also survive.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service, to be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel at Calvary Cemetery, Drums, with interment to follow.

Hilary J. Bonin Funeral Home, 99 W. Green St., West Hazleton, is assisting the family.
