Michael Luchetta Obituary
Michael W. Luchetta, 87, of Kelayres passed away Wednesday morning at his daughter's home, where he had been residing for the last two years.
Born in Kelayres, he was the son of the late Michael and Theresa (Befano) Luchetta.
He graduated from Overbrook School for the Blind, Philadelphia. He was a restaurant operator in the State Office Building in Harrisburg and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Elks.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his brothers, Louis and Ralph Luchetta; and his great-aunt, Rose Befano.
Surviving are his daughter, Janet Houseknecht and her husband, Richard, with whom he resided; grandchildren, Richard and Tyler Houseknecht; sister, Anna Marie Kelly and her husband, Mark, Tresckow; and nephews, Shawn and Ryan Kelly.
His funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
