Nicholas Amorin Obituary
Nicholas J. Amorin, 79, of Freeland passed away Jan. 18 in Lehigh-Valley Hospital-Hazleton.
Born in Freeland, he was the son of the late Manuel and Rose (Cipollette) Amorin.
Prior to retirement, he was a construction worker for the former Kerndale Contracting Co. Nicholas was a veteran and served in the U.S. Army.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was a brother, Louis Amorin.
Surviving are his wife, the former Donna Smith, at home; a son, Gerald Joseph Showman, Jeddo; daughters, Bernadette Sheppard and husband, Carl James, Pearisburg, Va.; Keri Ann Showman and fiancé, Andrew Johnson, Hazleton; Jodi Lyn Kiddish and husband, Joseph, Drifton; a brother, Manuel Amorin, Freeland; sisters, Carolyn Suvada, Blacksburg, Va.; Mary Tulanowski and husband, Jerome, Freeland; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
McHugh-Wilczek Funeral Home, 249 Centre St., Freeland, is in charge of arrangements.
