Raymond Lauer, 61, of West Hazleton passed away Wednesday at home surrounded by family and friends after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Hazleton on Oct. 16, 1959, he was the son of the late Raymond and Betty (Perry) Lauer.
Ray was well known throughout the community as the proprietor of the Red Rooster, Hazle Twp. He greeted everyone with a smile and was very well liked. Ray's devotion to his children was unmatched. He loved to cook, travel and spend time with his fiancée.
Surviving are his fiancée, Danielle Lemon, West Hazleton; his daughter, Amber Bradshaw and her husband, Benjamin, Bloomsburg; his sons, Dillon and Colby Lauer, both of Hazleton; his brother, Randy Lauer and his wife, Michelle, Lattimer; his sister, Linda Dion, South Carolina; and his grandchildren, Isabella, Blakely, Brooklyn, Elijah and Elias.
Arrangements are under the direction of John J. Pusti Funeral Home Inc., 480 W. Broad St., Hazleton.
