Robert G. Maue, 82, of Hazleton passed away Friday at his home.
Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Wilson and Mary (Milot) Maue and was a member of Queen of Heaven Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church, Hazleton.
He was a 1958 graduate of Hazleton High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962, stationed in Germany. He was the plant manager at Spaulding Bakeries and then worked in management in the textile finishing industry. He retired from Walmart, Hazle Twp., where he was an opening team member and head assembler.
He was an avid fan of Elvis, Penn State football, the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. He was a member of the Trenton Social Club, Delano Twp., where he enjoyed many Friday afternoons with his friend, Barry Gebauer.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his sister, Marie Cullinan; brother-in-law, Ned Cullinan; his nephew, Ed Cullinan; and his lifelong best friend, Dale Kisthardt, on March 29.
Surviving are his wife, the former Molly Manfredi; children, Robert Maue Jr. and wife, Trudy, Hometown; Corinne Connor, Doylestown; Terri Barnasevitch and husband, Tom, Doylestown; and David Maue and husband, David Gaudette, New York; stepdaughters, Lisa Bergamo and husband, Dean Matz, New Jersey; Linda Bergamo and Anthony Guido, California; and Carolyn Bergamo and husband, Christopher Hornack, Maryland; grandchildren, Sarah Maue; Kerri and Kayla Orbach; Shauna Barnasevitch and husband, Robert Cross; Laurel and Elijah Barnasevitch; Matthew and Lauren Guido; Bay Koehn; and Ava Matz; sister, Joanne Miller and husband, Al, Hazleton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in Queen of Heaven Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.
The family will receive friends from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

I worked with him at Fairtex Mills and we became friends. He was a wonderful man and mentor. Condolences to his wife, Molly, and his children and step-children.
