A. Nessman Obituary

A. Marie Age 73, of Arnot Rd., Wellsboro, PA, died April 9, 2004 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Edward J. Nessman Jr., whom she married April 1963. Marie was born May 24, 1930 in Boomingdale, NJ, the daughter of the late Amos Wickersham and Jennie Hamilton Aungst. She was a graduate of Butler High School, Butler, NJ, Class of "1947," and was a homemaker. She was a very active member of the Wellsboro United Methodist Church, a volunteer for Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital and the Cancer Society, and enjoyed spending time with her family and gardening. Surviving are her husband; children, Edward J. (Cara) Nessman III, Lake Wallkill, NJ, Vicki L. Dow, Wellsboro, Jeff H. (Linda) Dow, Lincoln Park, NJ, Nancy A. Torres, Manchester, NJ, and Maureen J. (Chris) Hughes, Wellsboro; grandchildren, Ashley Nessman, Jason and Lisa Dow, Ryan Dow, Dorothy Torres, Amanda Torres, Eric Muehter and Joseph Muehter; great-grandchildren, Jordan Dow and Jakob Dow; brother, Pete Aungst, Bloomingdale, NJ; sisters, Althea Showalter, TX, and Edith Seltenheim, Oakland, NJ; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Lawrence Aungst and Wesley Aungst. Friends and family are invited to Marie's Life Celebration on Wednesday, April 14, 2004, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Wellsboro United Methodist Church, Main and Queen Streets, Wellsboro, PA. Funeral there Thursday, April 15, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. with her Pastor, Rev. Mark Shover officiating. Burial in Welsh Settlement Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Tioga County Unit, 948 East Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701. Arrangements by Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, a "Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro, PA.
