Cecilia M. Halko

Cecilia M. Age 89 of Dayspring Apartments in Corning, NY, died Wednesday November 7, 2001 at the Corning Hospital. She was born August 15, 1912 in White Haven, PA, the daughter of the late Konstanty & Josephine Miskiel Sitko. She was a graduate of the White Haven High School and was married to Peter Halko August 1, 1931 in White Haven, PA. Cecilia relocated to Corning in 1991. She was a member of All Saints Parish, attending St. Patrick's Church and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas in Easton, PA. Surviving her daughters; Elizabeth (Thomas) McGuire of Long Prairie, MN and Judith (Richard) Sphon of Painted Post, NY. Son; Peter J. Halko of Elmira, OR. Grandchildren; Kimberly Johnson of New Hampshire, Erin McGuire of FL, Patrick Mcguire of MN, Holly (Gary) Swanberg of MN, Ann (Barry) Nicholson of PA, Susan (Ray) Hoobler of Big Flats, NY and Jennifer Sphon of VA. Nine Great grandchildren. Sisters; Emma Nanstiel of White Haven, PA and Clara (Joseph) Reiser of CO. Sister-in-law; Beatrice Sitko of White Haven, PA. Also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters and two brothers. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday December 1, 2001 at 9:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Committal Prayers & Interment will be held at Gethsamane Cemetery, Easton, PA.
