Daniel Biggers Obituary

Daniel (Moose, The King) photo Age 78 of Elmira, NY. He was born July 3, 1923 in Rock Hill, SC, son of the late Daniel, Sr. and Ethel (Jennings) Biggers and passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2001 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was predeceased by 2 brothers Floyd and LeRoy Biggers and grandson Marlon Stroman. Survived by his beloved wife Jeanette Serdula-Biggers of Elmira; children and their spouses Kandee Biggers and Scott Biggers both of CA, Pilar and Deion Sanders of TX, Ethel Stroman, Margaret and Morris Bodden and Danny Stroman III all of Elmira, Michael Stroman of Kirkwood, NY; sister Mavilla Odessa Bradley of Washington, DC.; brother Ralph Biggers of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren Shilo Sanders, Duane Stroman, Tinessa Fields, Daniel Stroman IV and Michael Stroman, Jr.; great grandchildren Prince Fields and Shayona Stroman along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Danny retired from General Electric and also worked as a Security Guard at Dewittsburg Housing. He was a long time member of St. Paul's Missionary Baptist Church, serving on several committees and singing in their choir. Danny was also a well known boxer in the area and a U.S Army veteran. Family and friends are invited to call at St. Paul's Missionary Baptist Church, 402 Sullivan St., Elmira on Monday, October 22nd from 10 AM to 12 Noon. Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon. Rev. Johnny Vaughn will officiate. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
