Oh how I loved rocking those lab puppies next to the stove on a winter's day. Gary loved shooting the clay pidgeons and talking hunting and guns with Dave. He certainly won't be someone who will be forgotten and his legacy will live on at the winery and through his children. He will always be with us in his big rocking chair at sunset on the deck.

Dave will truly be missed. We are so sorry for your loss. We will always remember him for his low but gentle voice, seeing him around the winery and vineyard. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

We met Dave 2 times & enjoyed being around him. Just in Oct. we spoke with him out on the deck at the winery on a beautiful day while watching others shoot clay pigeons. It won't be the same at the winery, he will be sadly missed.
Sorry for you great loss. You are in our prayers.

Dave Bagley was a wonderful guy and I believe knew what mattered most in life -- his family and friends. I worked for him for several years at the winery, and what a time it was! Dave was a great winemaker, boss and even more important, friend. He will be missed by all, but will live on in happy memories. My sincere condolences to all the Bagley family and friends.

Our deepest sympathy to all of Dave's family. Dave was a very special person to us. Poplar Ridge was where we bought our first case of wine. We had many special times with Dave - hanging out and helping at the winery, late night boat rides, fishing, swimming at the Boyscout Camp, Halloween parties, setting off the cannon - the list goes on and on. We will never forget Dave and he will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Uncle Dave was a giant in my life. He filled my home with his great ringing voice and with the glow of someone who knew how sweet life can be. The next time I can bring my family to "The Farm" I hope feel that glow again from his family and friends who loved and knew Dave best. I can hear Dave's voice in my thoughts and I miss him.

Dave was a special person. He was one of many that was so friendly to us when we moved to Hector. Dave will be missed. He was a big gentle person and we enjoyed watching him on the dance floor at Johnson's.

Through the years we have enjoyed going to Popular Ridge, playing guitars for Dave and his guest. Everyone felt like they were home when visiting the winery. He will be missed dearly by all. Steve, Denny and wives (12 Pack)

I will always remember Dave's thoughtfulness and sense of humor. Whenever I went to the winery, he always made me fell welcome, and he was never too busy to sit down and hang out. The winery won't be the same without him.

To the Bagley Family, you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this time. 31 years ago I moved to Valois, and a few years later met Dave and became a 'New York State wine "convert". So much fun we had, building the winery, assisting at the pouring table during special events, the "drink an inch" parties, the parties after his "famous", non-winning Girls Softball team games, the MANY celebrations at the winery, shooting clay pigeons, Halloween, and just bringing the neighbors together for laughter and fun. That is what Dave was all about. His wine, his local politics, his local friends and his community, along with his family, were all priorities in his life. So many memories; helping him deliver Lab puppies which our dogs had conceived together, hunting, fishing, time out on the boat, time down at the Boyscout Camp. Where do I stop? Dave will always have a special place in my heart.

Dave’s straight forward opinions and ‘plain speak’ will certainly be missed. My condolences to all the Bagley and Poplar Ridge families.
