David Schecter Obituary
Age 65 passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 3rd 2017. David was born in Elmira, on March 6th, 1952 and was predeceased by his parents, Morris and Ruth Schecter; wife, Bonnie Schecter; sister, Barbara Schecter; sister and brother in-law, Vivian and James Lindsay, and stepson, Matthew McCormick. He is survived by sisters, Alieen Colunio and Marilyn Schecter; sons, Philip and Joseph Schecter; stepdaughter, Valerie McCormick and Rob Goodwin; grandchildren, David McCormick, Micheall Hampton and Fred Cooper, Michael Hampton, Justin Schecter, Joshua Schecter, Eva Schecter, Olivia Schecter, Nathanial Schecter; great-grandchildren, Holly Hampton, Matthew Hampton, Linda Hall, Fred Cooper Jr.; step-grandchildren, Aiden and Albert Cooper, and many nieces and nephews. GRAVESIDE FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD IN BATH NATIONAL CEMETERY, ON FRIDAY, JULY 7TH AT 10:00AM. Our Sympathy & Prayers are with all of the family and friends who were so blessed to have had David in their lives. An anonymous author wrote, "Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed and very dear".

May the Lord be with Dave. My Condolences to the family with prayers and thoughts..I always enjoyed Dave as member of our Seabee unit in Horseheads. He was a great man and will be missed. Enjoyed seeing him at the Seabee dinner in May. May he rest in peace.
