Douglas Bailey Obituary
Bailey, Douglas L. passed away in Ft. Hood, TX on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the age of 24. Doug was born January 29, 1992, a son to Randolph L. Bailey and Belinda Mayes. He was a 2010 graduate of Southside High School and served his county honorably with the US Army. Doug is survived by his wife, Kayla Bailey; his children, Bradyn and Celia Bailey; father, Randy (Kelly) Bailey; mother, Belinda Santucci; sisters, Megan (Joseph) Wasicki and their children, Madyson and Macie Wasicki, and Melissa (Jacob) Huneke and their children, Gabriella and Abigail Huneke; Grandparents, Lee (Nancy) Bailey and Ed (Connie) Jones; aunts and uncles, Keith (Ann) Bailey, James Bailey, Cathy Simpson and Rick Jones; and numerous cousins. Doug enjoyed hunting, fishing with family and spending time at the family cabin on Trout Lake. Doug loved to play football and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. His favorite vacation spot was Myrtle Beach with his family. The family will welcome relatives and friends to Doug's Memorial Service at the First Baptist Church of Horseheads, 2293 Grand Central Ave., Horseheads, NY on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 11 AM. For those wishing to remember Doug please consider contributions to the Tragedy Assistance Program for Military Survivors (TAPS) at www.taps.org. Our family wishes to give special thanks to SFC Micheal Esterline for his thoughtfulness and professionalism helping us through this difficult time. My sweet nephew, your aunt sissy will always be thankful for all of our fun and crazy times we had. For being so proud of you when u went into the army and seeing all the pictures u sent me to be able 2 learn what you did there. I will NOT say goodbye , I will only say I will see you later. We are so sorry for the loss of Douglas, we will keep his family and friends in our thoughts. The firts time I met him he kept me laughing. And what I chose to remember is his love he had for his family and family doesn't necessarily mean blood ties and the laughter he shared! My heart goes out to all!!
