Elaine Fedchak Obituary

Elaine Marie Age 63, of Boynton Beach, FL, died at home with her family on Tuesday, August 8, after a 12-year battle with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma, or ACC, a rare cancer of the salivary gland. Formerly a teacher in the Corning-Painted Post School District, she is survived by her husband, Phil of Boynton Beach, FL; her daughter, Kimberly of Broomall, PA; and two brothers, Craig and Charles D'Andrea. She is predeceased by her parents, Charlotte Wilma Wells and A. Thomas D' Andrea. Born in Norwalk, CT, Elaine was a graduate of Ithaca College, with a BS in Music Education, and of Elmira College, with an MS in Elementary Education. She was an early director of the Women's Chorale of 171 Cedar in Corning, and recently enjoyed singing with the select South Florida group, The Delray Beach Chorale. Those wishing to make contributions in her name may send them to Hospice of Palm Beach County, Inc., 5300 East Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33407. The family would like to extend special thanks to the Teal Team of Hospice of Palm Beach County, who provided relief, comfort, and outstanding service during the last three weeks of Elaine's life.

I was a student of Severn Elementary and she was my teacher in the 3rd grade. I have fond memories of her playing her guitar for us.
