Elizabeth B. Hammond

Elizabeth B. 84 of Route 333, Campbell, NY, died Friday, February 7, 2003, at The Waters of Three Rivers in Painted Post, NY. Elizabeth was born in Chippewa Falls, WI, on June 28, 1918, the daughter of George W. and Florence (Bull) Baker. She was the wife of Easton Hammond, whom she married on June 28, 1942. She was employed as a secretary for the First United Methodist Church of Corning for many years. She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Corning and a member of Order of the Eastern Star #614 of Savona, NY. Elizabeth was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Baker. Her survivors include her husband of 60 years, Easton Hammond at home; two sons, Carl (Donna) Hammond of Horseheads, NY, and Jim (Nancy) Hammond of Salisbury, NC; a sister-in-law, Louise Baker of Yuma, AZ; two grandchildren, Ellen and Andrew Hammond; two nephews, Russell Baker of Yuma, AZ, and Les (Nora) Baker of Bethesda, MD. Friends may call on Sunday, from 2 to 4 PM, at Phillips Funeral Home, Inc., 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning, NY, and on Monday, from 2 to 4 PM, where funeral services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 4 PM. Burial will be in Millport Cemetery, Millport, NY.
