Francis Raplee Obituary
Age 63, formerly of Elmira, NY, went to be with the Lord on Monday February 18, 2013. He is survived by his daughter, Tammi Raplee Gryniuk, (Darren); grandchildren, Mason and Mia Gryniuk; sisters, Beverly Raplee Foust (Dale) of Mainesburg, PA and Kathy Raplee Harris (Stan) of Wellsburg, NY; brother, Preston Raplee (Deby Kay), of Xena, OH,; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, LeRoy Raplee; mother, Eva Worthington Austin; stepfather, David Austin; and brother, David A. Austin. Francis was a United States Army Veteran and Purple Heart recipient of the Vietnam War. He was a truck mechanic and retired from JCD Transportation of Elmira, NY. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira/Southport, NY on Thursday, February 21, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with Funeral and Committal Service there at 3:00 p.m. The Reverend Donald Rockwell will officiate. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA, with Military Honors at the grave. Those wishing may make donations to the Bath VA Hospital for Resident Activities. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Guestbook may be signed in obituaries at www.olthof.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Olthof Funeral Home, Inc.

I was one of the nurses that took care of your dad. He always called me mom from the day he came. He also loved to joke with us and was a pleasure to have taken care of him. He can now rest in peace and never to be forgotten.

So Sorry for you loss....i remember Francis on Bingo nught at the VFW he would always come to my Table and chat...Francis is My Ex Husband's Cousin...I remember one time Francis came to our home...he was a very nice guy...Going to be Missed alot...!!
