Helen Acuto Obituary

Acuto, Helen

went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 14, 2015. Helen was born in Salamanca, NY. She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years Steve Acuto, as well as her parents and two sisters, Florence and Eleanor. Helen was a long time resident of Elmira and recently moved to Kokomo, IN to be with her daughter Laurie and son-in-law Robert Rafferty. She is survived by her children, Kathy (Doug) Wright of Pavilion, Steve (Nancy) Acuto of Elmira, Dave (Laura) Acuto of Horseheads, Laurie (Bob) Rafferty of Kokomo; nine grandchildren, Matt Shelters, Mike Shelters, Jennifer Davis, T.J. Acuto, Kristen Acuto Urso, Bryan Acuto, Christa Acuto, Sarah Rafferty, Joseph Rafferty; and seven great-grandchildren. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in honor of Helen will be Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 11:30 a.m., at St. Patrick's Church, 604 Park Place, Elmira. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to Blessed Sacrament Parish, 1010 Davis Street, Elmira NY 14901 or Our Lady of Victory Homes of Charity, 780 Ridge Road, Lackawanna, NY 14218-1682.
