Deb, Jim, John and Joe,

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I regret not being able to be with you this past weekend.

Your father was one of those larger than life neighborhood characters. Always willing to lend a hand, give advice, play a prank or drive us to school and practice. Jim and Norma's home was always inviting and warm and a great place to get a snack. I have many fond memories of your dad and he surely will be missed by all.

To Jim:
I never knew your father. But, by the way your face lighten up when telling stories of him I can imagine how deep and meaningful was your relationship with him.

To Debi, Jim, John and Joe,

From the day I first met your Dad in 1972, until the day I said goodbye to him last month when he was in Glen Ellyn, I realized he was an extraordinary man - a truly good man. And I was the recipient of his great sense of humor many times over the years.

To Jim and Deb, Ben and Irene (and Lilo), I know he will be missed by all of us. But when we remember him (and Norma) and all the funny, funny times we were with him, he will still be in our hearts.

Love,
Grandma Katie

I still remember Jim coming up to Hornell on the train to court my sister, Norma. We spent our lives 2000 miles apart but we were much closer than that. What a gret person. Bob Dungan
