HILL, Kenneth E.

Pine City: Was born December 31, 1933 in Lyons, NY the son of the late George N. and Anna Lois (Finch) Hill, was ushered home to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, January 16, 2015 at the age of 81. Ken is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Phyllis (Congdon) Hill, with whom he has spent 60 wonderful years of love and life with; beloved sons: Kevin Hill of Vestal, NY; Keith (Cindee) Hill of Rostraver, PA; Kerry (Lynda) Hill of Prince Frederick, MD; grandchildren: Dr. Courtney Hill of Lebanon, NH; Lindsay Hill of Myrtle Beach, SC; Kerry Hill of Virginia; Morgan Hill of Elmira Heights, NY; Matthew Hill of Rostraver, PA; Jay Hassler of Rostraver, PA; Ethan Hill of Rostraver, PA; Kierston Hill of Prince Frederick, MD and David Hassler of Rostraver, PA; great grandchildren: Peyton Peterson of Elmira Heights, NY; Keriana Hill of Atlanta, GA; Paxton Peterson of Elmira Heights, NY; sister, Doris Hill of Sebring, FL; sister-in-law, Janet Robbins of Pine City, NY; nephew, Scott Congdon; niece, Renee (Kris) Kinsley; and his church family. Ken was a Veteran of the US Army and proudly served his country. He was the President of Hill Electric for 50 years. Mr. Hill was a faithful member of the former Pentecostal Tabernacle and the current Elmira Christian Center. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Monday, January 19, 2015 from 1 to 4 PM and from 6 to 7 at the Elmira Christian Center 235 East Miller Street Elmira, NY. His funeral service will follow the visitation at 7 PM. Rev. David Leandre will officiate. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family in the Elmwood Cemetery Caton, NY. The family will provide their own flowers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the Elmira Christian Academy. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home and the church. Ken's guestbook may be signed in obituaries at www.olthof.com

I have always had the greatest respect and admiration for Ken and Phyllis. Ken, in many ways, took the place of my own dad during my teen years, starting as my sunday school teacher, then, taking us boys on multiple camping trips, and later, deer hunting. I am forever grateful to you both.
