Kirby Krum Obituary

Krum, Kirby Lynn

Kirby Lynn Krum, 59, formerly of Elmira, died unexpectedly on December 11, 2015, due to an auto accident in Fort Worth, TX. He was predeceased by his mother, Gloria Krum in 2002 and is survived by his father, Melvin Krum of Port Orange, FL; brother, Jamey and wife, Mari Krum of Fort Lauderdale, FL; brother, Michael Krum of Port Orange, FL and sister, Michelle and husband, Geoffrey Preston of Port Orange, FL and several nieces and nephews. Kirby was born in Wellsboro, PA on April 2, 1956 and grew up in Elmira, NY. He attended Southside High School where he ran track and played the alto saxophone in the orchestra. He then served in the U.S. Army. He was a crane operator in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, and loved doing so. Along with being a great sax player, he was a talented artist, especially with charcoal drawings. He was a Denver Broncos fan and also enjoyed NASCAR. We will miss his crazy stories and sense of humor, and know that he was and always will be loved. Final arrangements are being made by the family.

Dear Jamey, I am very sorry to hear of Kirby's passing. Even though he was a couple years older (that meant something when we were kids) he was always kind and friendly to us youngsters. RIP.
