Lester Sheesle Obituary

Lester L. Age 89 of Englewood, FL, formerly of Horseheads, NY passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2001. Mr. Sheesley was born September 16, 1911 in McClure, PA, the son of the late Reuben and Elsie Trutt Sheesley. Lester and his wife Mary were the co-owners of Sheesley's Sewer Service in Horseheads prior to their retirement. Mr. Sheesley was a veteran of WW II serving his country with the US Army and was a member of Clarence R. Oliver American Legion Post #154 in Elmira Heights, NY. He was a life-time member of The Elmira Moose Club. Lester was pre-deceased by his wife, Mary E. Strumpff Sheesley on June 17, 1998. He was also pre-deceased by his daughter, Diana E. Hardy, on April 8, 1995 and several brothers and sisters. Mr. Sheesley is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Wayne L. & Nina Sheesley of Horseheads, NY; daughter and son-in-law Judy & Gary Hill of Englewood, FL; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother: Luther Sheesley of Pennsylvania; sister: Grace Benfer of Beaver Springs, PA; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Van Buskirk-Lynch Funeral Home Mill St. & Grand Central Ave. Horseheads, NY on Tuesday June 19, 2001 from 5-8 PM. Mr. Sheesley's Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday June 20, 2001 at 10 AM. The Rev. John Bedzyk will officiate. Interment in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads, NY.
